The Research Scientist will participate in ongoing research in Dr. Dierker's lab, including NIDA-funded projects examining individual differences in the patterning of smoking behavior associated with the emergence of nicotine dependence.
The Research Scientist will be mentored to facilitate transition to independent research careers by emphasizing the acquisition of analytic, writing, public speaking, and teaching skills.
This is a full-time position, beginning on or after November 1, 2009. Because this is a grant funded position, continuation beyond the initial grant period is dependent upon the receipt of additional funds, mutual agreement, and acceptable performance.
Ph.D. in psychology, health and human development, epidemiology or a related field
Experience with research focusing on substance use and expertise with advanced statistics
