SHS Physician II (UCP XII) Student Health Services
The University of Connecticut, Student Health Services is seeking applicants to fill a full-time, 9-month physician position. Applicants should demonstrate interest in student health and the health education of a diverse university student population. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing medical services and consultation consistent with board certification; provide emergency medical care within the limits of resources available through the student health service, and examine patients to determine nature and extent of illness or injury.
Work schedule is mid-August through mid-May, Monday through Friday and rotating weekend coverage.
Minimum Qualifications: Doctor of Medicine degree or Doctor of Osteopathy degree; possession of a current license to practice medicine in the State of Connecticut; Board Certification in a primary care specialty approved by the American Board of Medical Specialties; federal DEA number and state controlled substance registration; and current CPR/AED certification. Quality Improvement experience is desirable.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
