The Office of the Provost seeks a tenured faculty member with a strong scholarly record, a broad perspective on university affairs, excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively as part of a team, and a demonstrated ability to lead in an academic setting to fill the position of Vice Provost for Regional Campus Administration and Public Engagement.  This is a full-time, 12-month position that reports directly to the Provost.

This individual is responsible for overseeing the leadership of the regional campuses and the Center for Continuing Studies and working with the schools and colleges and appropriate university and UConn Foundation staff to strengthen their academic programming, student support and enrichment resources, infrastructure, and institutional advancement.  This individual is charged with the oversight of the Multicultural Institutes, International Affairs, the International Executive Council, and the development of international initiatives.  This individual is responsible for developing and enhancing UConn’s presence in distance learning and online education.

In addition to these core responsibilities, the Vice Provost for Regional Campus Administration and Public Engagement participates in general policy discussions in the Office of the Provost and undertakes additional duties as assigned.
