The Department of Human Resources has an immediate need for a motivated, professional Human Resources practitioner that can thrive in the fast-paced, challenging environment of its Employment Services Team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration and execution of a broad range of employment services to a diverse multicultural population.  Key responsibilities may include participating in hiring activity, performing job analysis, conducting salary reviews, advising employees and applicants on employment related matters, and generating confidential data reports used in collective bargaining. 

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least four years of related, professional human resources experience.  Must have knowledge of human resources principles, policies and practices; experience with salary benchmarking, job classification analysis, and recruitment and organizational strategies; experience using Microsoft Office Word, and Excel; excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.  Experience working in a state agency or in higher education is preferred.  Expertise in Access, Power Point, or the use of a computerized human resources database such as PeopleSoft is desirable.  An equivalent combination of credentials and/or experience may also be considered.
